Magnificent Golden Retrievers’ commitment to the health, responsible placement
and lifelong welfare of every Golden Retriever we produce.

Our Health Commitment

MGR takes substantial measures to produce genetically healthy Golden Retrievers
and to provide each puppy with a healthy start in life.

Our breeding dogs undergo genetic health screening, including Embark DNA testing
for inherited conditions relevant to the Golden Retriever breed. MGR also utilizes
orthopedic health evaluations, including PennHIP and, when age appropriate,
OFA evaluations.

Each puppy receives age-appropriate preventative care before placement in accordance
with MGR’s established health protocols. Available health, vaccination, deworming,
parasite-screening, microchip and other applicable records are provided to the
puppy’s family.

Genetics are only one component of a dog’s lifetime health. Nutrition, body condition,
exercise, injury prevention, veterinary care, environment and other factors can
substantially affect a growing dog’s health and development.

One-Year Healthy Hips Guarantee

MGR provides a One-Year Healthy Hips Guarantee covering qualifying
early-onset hip dysplasia determined to be primarily hereditary or genetic in origin.

A qualifying claim requires the following:

1. The dog must be diagnosed with hip dysplasia by a licensed veterinarian.
2. The diagnosis must be supported by appropriate diagnostic radiographs
   or other accepted orthopedic imaging.
3. Veterinary findings must reasonably support that the condition is primarily
   hereditary or genetic rather than resulting from trauma, injury, excessive
   or inappropriate exercise, obesity, improper nutrition, developmental
   circumstances or another acquired cause.
4. The dog must have received reasonable nutrition and care consistent with
   MGR’s recommendations during skeletal development.
5. The dog must not have been subjected to inappropriate forced exercise during
   skeletal development, including sustained forced running or jogging before
   approximately 18 months of age. Normal age-appropriate play, running and
   activity are expected and encouraged.
6. The dog must not have suffered avoidable trauma reasonably capable of causing
   or materially contributing to the orthopedic condition, including repeated
   jumping or falling from significant heights, being dropped, inappropriate
   roughhousing with substantially larger dogs, or similar preventable injury.

Healthy Hips Guarantee Remedy

Except to the extent otherwise required by applicable law, MGR is not responsible
under this guarantee for veterinary examination fees, diagnostic testing, radiographs,
specialist consultations, surgery, hospitalization, medications, rehabilitation,
physical therapy, transportation, boarding, lost income, consequential expenses,
or other costs associated with diagnosing, treating or caring for the dog.

Nothing in these terms is intended to waive or limit a right or remedy that cannot
legally be waived or limited under applicable law.

Owner Responsibilities

Owners are expected to provide responsible lifetime care, including appropriate
nutrition, exercise, shelter, companionship, veterinary attention and reasonable
protection from preventable injury.

MGR encourages families to remain in contact throughout their dog’s life and welcomes
communication regarding health, nutrition, development, training, temperament or
other matters affecting the dog’s well-being.

Lifetime Right of First Refusal

MGR’s Lifetime Right of First Refusal applies to every dog
placed by Magnificent Golden Retrievers for the lifetime of the dog.

If, at any point during the dog’s life and for any reason, an owner becomes unable
or unwilling to continue caring for or keeping the dog,
MGR must be contacted before the dog is permanently sold, surrendered,
given away, rehomed, transferred or otherwise placed with another person, family,
rescue, shelter or organization.

What If You Already Know a Suitable Family?

MGR understands that circumstances change. An owner who can no longer keep a dog
may already know a responsible and suitable person or family who would like to
provide the dog with a permanent home.

In that situation, the owner should contact MGR and tell us about the proposed
family before permanently transferring the dog.

The owner should provide sufficient information about the prospective adopter
for MGR to reasonably evaluate the proposed placement.

MGR may then:

1. Approve the proposed placement.
   The dog may transfer directly from the current owner to the approved new family
   without first being physically returned to MGR.
2. Exercise MGR’s Right of First Refusal.
   MGR may elect to have the dog returned rather than transferred to the proposed family.

When a responsible and suitable family has already been identified, MGR recognizes
that a direct transition may be in the dog’s best interest and may make it unnecessary
for MGR to take physical possession of the dog.

Approved New Owners

When MGR approves a direct transfer to another family, the current owner should provide
the new owner with the dog’s available veterinary, vaccination, microchip, registration
and other relevant records.

MGR may require the new owner to acknowledge in writing that MGR’s Lifetime Right
of First Refusal continues to apply to the dog.

Approval of a transfer does not end MGR’s commitment to the dog’s lifelong welfare.
The Lifetime Right of First Refusal follows the dog and applies to subsequent approved owners.

If You Cannot Keep Your Dog

If an owner can no longer keep the dog and does not have a suitable prospective adopter,
the owner should contact MGR so that arrangements can be discussed for the dog’s return.

Our priority is protecting the dog and determining the safest and most appropriate
future placement.

Permanent Transfers

A dog should not be permanently sold, surrendered, given away, rehomed or otherwise
transferred without first complying with MGR’s Lifetime Right of First Refusal.

This does not apply to ordinary temporary care by a veterinarian, boarding facility,
trainer, groomer, pet sitter, friend or family member when ownership of the dog is
not being permanently transferred.

AKC Limited Registration & Breeding

Unless MGR has expressly agreed otherwise in writing, puppies are placed with
AKC Limited Registration and are intended as companion animals
rather than for breeding.

Breeding rights are not conveyed by these terms. Any breeding rights must be
separately and expressly authorized by MGR in writing.

A Lifelong Relationship

MGR considers placement of a puppy the beginning of a continuing relationship
with the family rather than the end of our involvement.

Families are encouraged to contact MGR throughout their dog’s life with questions
concerning development, nutrition, training, health or circumstances affecting
the dog’s continued placement.
